The Art of Living
Human life is certainly different from all other living beings.Man is creative,adventurist,soft,hard,kind,cruel and what not.His character is developed based on many other factors like rural, urban,rich,poor,educated,uneducated etc.
Inspite of such multy faceted environment some of the children develope very disciplined life right from young age.
I was one such gifted boy.Even though I was one amongst seven brothers sisters,my approach was in contrast to all.When I was in school going stage we walked 5 km one way to school with pack lunch.This continued for 6 years from 1952 to 1958.
During such walk I used to climb all fruit bearing trees along the road side and eat fruits.Mangoes,Jamun are common trees.
A group of youngsters who does not tree climbing used to follow me.I will climb the tree and shake the branches.My friends will pick up the fruits. Later insted of shaking the branches I made small bags with long ropes and down load fruits.
This type of inovative and creative approach continues even today at my 77 th year of life.
we had planted a mango plant in my house garden in Annanagar in 1988.Today the tree has grown very big and fruits are as big as 2 Kg each.
Average size mangoes are about 1 kg and the biggest of this season is 1.9 Kg.My child hood ceative methods are used to plug and down load mangoes.
I have long.medium and short sticks with bag tied at one end.My assistant claimbs the tree and plugs mangoes and down load as I was doing jamun fruits in me childhood.
These type of activities keeps me young in heart and every time
a mango is pluged from a difficult situation we both keep laughing for over coming such situation.
My understanding about Art of living is creative,demonstrative and adventurous. Life goes on happily.
