Bow to the Will of Providence
            
              The term "Providence" was heard by me for the first time when I was preparing for my Antarctic expedition in 1987 when I was sitting in the Department of Ocean Development,New Delhi,and going through ,Robert Falcon Scotts "Trumph and Tragedy" reports .All those adventure enthusiasts can not miss this book.

                 Later ,when I was going through the wintering period at Antarctica  I was going through the notes I had prepared at Delhi about Providence.

                     All those who were interested in Antactic adventure reports canot miss the great Heroes of Antarctica.In 1819 ,the world was un aware that there is a continent in the sothern hemisphere.But by 1958 in a matter of 139 years some 50 major expeditions fromc ountries like, USA, UK, Russia, Australia,Sweeden,Norway had revealed to the world the Frozen continent Antarctica.

                      What an un imaginable developments in my life from a rural tiny village, Sannanallur in Tamilnadu to be Leader and station commander of Indian Antarctic reseaech station Dakshingangotri.I was on the icy surface where great personalities like Scott,Schakleton,Amundsen

etc would have made history 

                   Was it Providence,?

             All great scholars and litrary giants have repeatedly mentioned that Man is the creater.Vivekanand ,the great national leader says,"You are the creator of your own destiny."

           

               Right from childhood my approac to a problem hsd been on an unusual angle which made me a different type of person.So I alwasys thought that I will do my duty and the posterity will write my history.

                  Thousands would have read Maha kavi Bharathi's poetry.But howmany would have followed ?

            

                   தேடிச்சோறு நித்தம் தின்று பல 

                                சின்னஞ்சிறு கதைகள் பேசி -மனம் 

                   வாடித்துன்பம் மிக வுழன்று பிறர் 

                            வாடப்  பல செயல்கள் செய்து -நரை 

                  கூடிக் கிழப்பருவம் யெய்திக் கொடுங் 

                            கூற்றுக்கு இரையெனப் பின் மாயும் -பல 

                 வேடிக்கை மனிதர்களைப்போல் நானும் 

                             வீழ்வேனென்று நினைத்தாயோ ?

                

                 So, I will not be like the millions of idiots who are born like worms and die.It is this mind which directed me to take a handfull of mother earth from my birth place Sannanallur and sprinkle it arround Dakshingangotri,Antarctica.

                 Again it is this frame of mind  which made me to bring rocks which were about 1 ton each and were in ice over 50 millions years  to Tamilnadu and establish "Inspirational Parks" at different places.

               As a Battalion Commander ,it is this mind made me to demonstrate my physical fitness to fellow officer when I was 47 years old.

             Inspite of all detailed planning and precautions if something un usual happens then you have no alternative but "To Bow to the Will of Providence ".

                             This is what  Scott had experienced at ANTARCTICA. 15 days before when Amundsen and his team walked happily from hoisting Norway national flag at geographic South pole  Scott and his team were cought in a Blizzard nailing them into their tent and die of starvation.

              Ganesan had always kept this in mind in all his activities.

                Readers would be wondering that  "A Summery of Evidence "was recorded agaist me for "calling a spade as spade ".But I left it to the will  of Providence.The charge was set aside and I walke with head held high.
